Pinnacle Tahoe Volleyball Club

Youth and Juniors Volleyball teams in the 18U, 16U, 14U and 12U age groups.  Pinnacle Tahoe Volleyball Club is a non-profit organization and members of USA Volleyball, Jackson Sports Academy, and AAU.  All coaches have background checks and coach certifications through at least one of these associations.

2014-2015 Sign Ups and Try Outs

Sign ups for 12U, and try outs for 14U, 16U and 17U teams will be in November.  2014-2015 season information will be posted on the website in early October.  If you were not a member of our club last season, and want to be notified when the new season information and try out information is posted, please get on our distribution list by emailing Club Director Mike Welch at Mike@PinnacleTahoeVolleyball.com

Tentative dates:
Nov. 1-16, 2014:  Sign ups for 12-1 team (will automatically close after 12 sign up)
Nov. 1-16, 2014:  Try out registration for 14-1, 16-1 and 17-1 teams
Nov. 19 and 20, 2014:  Try outs for 14-1, 16-1 and 17-1.  MUST ATTEND BOTH Wednesday and Thursday.
Nov. 21, 2014:  Teams announced. 

Tentative practices:
2014 practices December 10-18 Wednesday and Thursday nights
2015 practices January 7-May 21 Wednesday and Thursday nights
Competition schedule to be announced in early October

12U, 14U and 16U Teams have high Gold Division tournament finishes

With only a few practices in the new year so far, teams from the 12U, 14U and 16U have already had amazing results.

12-Murphy finished tied for 3rd place in the Gold Division out of 25 teams on January 26, 2014
14-Mike finished tied for 3rd place in the Gold Division out of 36 teams on January 20, 2014 (also Gold Division on Jan. 12 too!)
16-Carrie finished tied for 5th place in the Gold Division out of 43 teams on January 18, 2014

Congratulations to all teams, players and coaches!  Dream big and set your goals high. The future is looking golden!

Former Pinnacle Tahoe Volleyball Club Player Wins California Community College Championship in 2014!

Krysta Murphy, a former Pinnacle Tahoe Volleyball Club player (final season 2012), and her Cabrillo College (Santa Cruz area) team won the 2013 California Community College Championship.  The Seahawks became the first NorCal team in 36 years to win the state championship Sunday when they beat out Grossmont College (San Diego) in the title match, 28-26, 25-21, 19-25, 25-19. 

On a side note, Grossmont College Head Coach Jamie Ivers was Club Director Mike Welch's assistant coach at Idaho State University, and also coached at the Peak Volleyball Lake Tahoe Camp this past July in Tahoe City.

Pinnacle Tahoe Volleyball Club Coaches for the 2013-2014 season have elite experience including:

Pinnacle Tahoe Volleyball Club is a non-profit organization committed to developing an environment conducive for club members to pursue volleyball goals and dreams with passion.  Club volleyball is a competitive experience.  Our inclusive club culture will foster a sense of community within players and coaches from different schools.  The club will continuously reinforce life skills including commitment, character, community, unity, teamwork, respect, communication, leadership, work ethic, perseverance, a healthy competitive spirit, and the personal pursuit of excellence.  The club will expose and prepare players for high levels of volleyball through its training and competitive tournament schedule, as well as give exposure for players to pursue college volleyball playing and scholarship opportunities.
